Dr. Ae Ra Kee

Dr. Ae Ra Kee completed her medical degree (MBBS) at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. She went on to earn her Master of Medicine in Ophthalmology (MMed) from the same institution. Dr. Kee holds a Fellowship in Ophthalmology from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (UK) and is also a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (FAMS). She is currently completing a Clinical Fellowship in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery at the University of Toronto, and previously completed a fellowship at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, one of Singapore’s busiest tertiary care centres.

Dr. Kee brings extensive experience in a wide range of refractive and corneal procedures. Her areas of expertise include LASIK, PRK, Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE), CXL + T‑PRK, Phakic IOLs, and Corneal Cross-Linking. She has served as a Consultant in Cornea and Refractive Surgery at the National Healthcare Group Eye Institute.

Alongside her clinical practice, Dr. Kee has held academic appointments as a clinical lecturer at the National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University, where she has contributed to the training of future ophthalmologists.

Dr. Kee has received numerous accolades throughout her training and professional career. She was awarded the Gold Medal in the Ophthalmology Specialist Accreditation Examination in Singapore and was recognized as Outstanding Senior Resident at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Her academic excellence was evident early in her medical studies, earning multiple Dean’s List distinctions.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Kee is a published researcher with several peer-reviewed articles on topics including ocular inflammation, glaucoma, and refractive surgery. In 2023, her study on LASIK outcomes earned her the Best Poster Runner-Up in the Refractive Surgery category at the Asia-Pacific Association of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
