Corneal Inlays for Presbyopia

The loss of your reading vision has, frustratingly, been the first sign of aging that’s not easily controlled or covered up. TLC Laser Eye Centres offers corneal inlays for presbyopia that can give you back the power and ease of self-sufficiency, so you can look and feel younger.

The corneal inlays can change your life in many ways, including dramatically reducing your dependency on reading glasses whether you’re at home, at work or on the go.

Who can benefit from Presbyopic Corneal Inlays?

Regardless of when you lost your up-close vision, a corneal inlay may be able to restore it. Whether glasses or contact lenses have always been a part of your life or you just started wearing reading glasses, a corneal inlay can help you stay active and look younger.

The needs of each patient are different. To learn more about which of our corneal inlays for presbyopia would be best suited to your particular case, please contact one of our knowledgeable surgeons today.

What can I expect?

A corneal inlay is gently implanted within the eye’s outer-layer, the cornea, during a procedure that takes less than 20 minutes. In some cases laser vision correction may be required in addition to the corneal inlay, in either the inlay eye or the other eye, to fully correct the distance and near vision.  Afterwards, you won’t have any stitches or bandages, only eye drops and follow-up appointments to ensure proper healing.

Your period of recovery and improvement will vary. You may see an improvement in your near vision in as little as a few days. Or, it may take longer.
